How to measure rooflights?
When ordering your rooflight, it’s essential to select the size based on your external upstand dimensions.
For example, if you need a 1000mm x 1000mm rooflight, your external upstand must also measure 1000mm x 1000mm to ensure a perfect fit.
Our rooflights come with a built-in 20mm tolerance, meaning the actual product size will be 1040mm x 1040mm.

Why Choose a Framed Rooflight?
When choosing a rooflight, one of the key decisions is whether to go for a framed or frameless design.
Framed rooflights offer significant advantages in durability, efficiency, and long-term performance.
✔ Superior Strength & Protection – The aluminium frame encloses the glass, reducing the risk of edge damage and breakage. Frameless rooflights leave the glass edges exposed, making them more vulnerable to cracks.
✔ Enhanced Weather Resistance – Framed rooflights are factory-sealed and fully watertight, preventing leaks and water ingress. Frameless designs rely on silicone bonding, which can weaken over time.
✔ Better Thermal Efficiency – A thermally broken aluminium frame prevents heat loss, making framed rooflights more energy-efficient than frameless alternatives.
✔ Easier Installation – The structured design of framed rooflights makes installation more secure and straightforward, while frameless options often require additional on-site sealing.
✔ Lower Maintenance & Longer Lifespan – With better protection against weathering, condensation, and general wear, framed rooflights offer a longer-lasting solution with minimal upkeep.
